This project involved designing a website for Ava Taylor, an emerging female photographer who needed to showcase her portfolio in a powerful and impactful way. Her primary goal was to create a strong visual platform that would instantly communicate her professionalism and artistic vision.

Challenge and Solution: Ava’s main request was for the website to be heavily focused on her photography, allowing her work to speak for itself at first glance. She also emphasized the need for simplicity and organized categorization. To meet these requirements, I decided to move away from conventional website layouts and create a unique, creative design that would draw all attention to the images themselves.

Execution and Features: The final design is built on minimalism and visual focus. In the current layout, Ava’s main portfolio is centered on the page, while her contact information and bio are neatly arranged on the right. The different categories are accessible on the left, creating a balanced structure that highlights both her personal brand and her work.

To solve the challenge of displaying a large number of photos on a single page, I organized all her work into three main categories: Female Models, Male Models, and Nature. Clicking on each category seamlessly expands the corresponding gallery, making the photos easily accessible. This approach not only optimizes page loading but also provides a smooth and enjoyable user experience. This innovative design was very well-received and effectively tells Ava’s visual story.
